Pimley Manor

Pimley Manor continues on the right hand bank from Pimley Rough, downstream of the sewage works to the in let of the stream, below the A5 bridge. Fishing here is excellent for all river species. Barbel, into double figures, show here regularly, especially when the river is carrying extra water. Very large Chub feature often, with fish going over six pounds and occasionally into seven! Pike and Perch fishing below the island can be prolific. Salmon are caught in the shallows above the island opposite the Gypsy Stone. Bream shoal up in the large slack above the island and bags of silvers can be caught over the faster gravel runs on the sick float. This fishery has it all and is one of the most popular in Shrewsbury.

There are two car parks, which will accommodate plenty of anglers.

The main car park is under the A5 bridge. This can be accessed by turning off the south bound road, there is no access from the north carriageway.  The gate is locked and must always be locked behind you, please contact the secretary for the code. Drive down the track and park in the second bay under the bridge.

The second car park is at Pimley Manor itself. As you arrive at the Manor, turn right towards the cottages. Park on the left, next to the brick wall, away from the cottages.
