Shrewsbury Anglers Club exemplifies the very best of fishing in Shrewsbury and Shropshire. The club is run and maintained by knowledgeable anglers, with a wealth of experience of fishing the River Severn. The Club has access to the very best sections of the River Severn in Shrewsbury. These are home to some of the largest Barbel, Chub, Pike and Perch on the upper and middle Severn in Shropshire.

Shrewsbury Anglers Club was established in 2016 by a group of local fishermen to provide a democratic, transparent, and open environment for all anglers who wanted to share the responsibility of managing their own club and fisheries. SAC has gone from strength to strength. In less than four years has grown to be the biggest and best angling club in Shrewsbury with five prolific sections of the River Severn regularly producing double-figure Barbel, huge Chub and record-breaking Perch.

SAC is a member of the Angling Trust through which we provide insurance to all our members. Our  Angling Trust Membership Number is 73622

SAC does not provide day ticket access to any of its fisheries. All anglers must be members of the club in order to fish. If you are thinking of fishing in Shrewsbury come and join SAC, it’s extremely good value for money at £35 per year.
