Members are welcome to occasionally bring a guest to fish any of the club’s fisheries. Guests can fish for free, there are however strict rules for bringing a guest onto the club’s fisheries:
- Members must arrange the session prior to fishing by requesting a guest permit from the Membership Secretary. Members must email the name and address of their guest, the date they intend to fish and the location. The Membership Secretary will acknowledge and grant the guest access for the day. This is very important since the guest must be covered by our insurance whilst fishing.
- Members are limited to no more than 3 guest sessions a season.
- Members must be present on the fishery for the duration of the guest’s session. Guests can fish anywhere on the fishery, but the member of whom they are a guest must be present on the fishery.
- Guests are the responsiblity of the member. They must abide by the club rules. Any problems arising from the actions of the guest whilst fishing a club water could result in the member having their membership revoked.
- The guest session must not be a professional guiding session. Some anglers provide professional guiding services. Guest sessions at Shrewsbury Anglers Club cannot be used for this purpose since our insurance does not provide for this.
To arrange a guest session, please email the Membership Secretary on info@shrewsburyanglersclub.co.uk
